This project was a repackaging redesign focused on the Cora tampon brand. The goal was to take an existing package design and completely reimagine it through my own creative direction while still keeping the clean and organic feeling of the original brand. Throughout the project, I explored packaging layouts, branding, color systems, and visual hierarchy to create a design that felt softer, fresher, and more approachable.

Old Packaging

This section shows the original Cora packaging before the redesign process began. The original design used a darker color palette and more crowded typography, which made the packaging feel less soft and inviting. While the branding still reflected a clean and organic style, I wanted to redesign it in a way that felt more modern, feminine, and visually balanced.

Sketches

These are the early sketches created during the brainstorming phase of the project. I explored different packaging layouts, logo placements, typography styles, and illustration ideas to test multiple creative directions. Sketching helped me experiment freely and better understand how I wanted the final packaging to look and feel.

Digital Drafts

The digital drafts allowed me to bring my sketches into a more polished format and begin testing my ideas digitally. During this phase, I refined spacing, typography, colors, and overall composition while exploring different ways to organize the packaging information. This stage helped shape the direction of the final design.

Digital Drafts 2

This phase focused on refining the strongest packaging concept into a more cohesive final lockup. I adjusted the layouts, color balance, and visual hierarchy to make the design feel cleaner and more professional. These refined drafts became the foundation for the final portfolio-ready packaging system.

Final Design

The final design combines soft colors, clean typography, and playful illustrations to create packaging that feels fresh, comforting, and approachable. Each tampon type is represented through its own coordinated color system, helping create clear visual organization while still feeling cohesive as a full product line. The final packaging keeps the healthy and organic feel of the original brand while transforming it into something more modern, feminine, and visually engaging.

Reflection

I really enjoyed working on this project because it allowed me to completely transform an existing package into something new through my own creative direction. It was exciting seeing the design evolve from rough sketches into a polished final product. This project helped me strengthen my skills in packaging design, branding, and visual hierarchy while still keeping the fresh, clean, and organic feeling that made the original brand recognizable.
